East of Henne Strand (beach) you will find Henne, also called Henneby, a village mainly consisting of holiday cottage areas and camping areas. The nature at Henne and surroundings is of utmost beauty with dunes, moor areas and wood, while Henne Strand (beach) invites you to an area with fine restaurants, shops and numerous activities for the children.
Henne Strand is boasting one of the finest sandy beaches in Europe. The long, white, sandy beach (16 km) invites people of all ages to play, to build sand castles etc. or to walks along the shore – and here you may be lucky to find a piece of amber. You have plenty of space to plunge into the blue waves, to enjoy the sun among the dunes or to play with your kite. From end June until end of August Henne Strand has a lifeguard.
Among other places, the surrounding nature is including Blåbjerg Plantage with the 64 m high hill from where you have a stunning view, Filsø, the sixth largest lake in Denmark, with a rich animal life, and Henne Mølleå (stream) which falls into the North Sea. Legoland and Givskud Zoo are popular tourists attractions only one hour’s drive away from Henne Strand, but also nearby there is a lot of interesting things and places to try/visit such as horse riding, golf playing, put and take fishing, Viking village and water world.
