Don't miss this opportunity! Here is the house for those of you who want to live a little extra comfortably during your vacation on Gotland! A residence that has that little extra something to add a touch of luxury to your stay! It boasts a beautiful lush garden with a heated pool, a pool house with a lounge area, billiards/air hockey, a separate barn for delightful dinner parties, multiple outdoor seating areas, a playhouse, and much more. You don't want to miss this accommodation!

Only a 15-minute drive from Visby, you will find this paradise. It includes a main house, a guest house, a pool house, a playhouse, a barn with dining areas and a simple kitchen for large meals, as well as several outdoor seating areas where you can choose to sit adjacent to the kitchen under the apple tree, by the pool, or in the pergola under the grapevines.

In the main house, built in the early 1900s, there is a charming kitchen with a quaint pantry and everything you might need, a beautiful dining room next to it that leads you out to the glassed-in veranda. From the kitchen, you can access a cozy living room with a TV and fireplace. Next to it is a comfortable bedroom with a 140 cm bed. The upstairs is reached via a staircase in the dining room. On the upper floor, there is a large family room mainly used as a playroom, featuring an extendable bed and a bunk bed. Adjacent are two additional bedrooms, each with a double bed. The renovated bathroom is located in the hallway by the entrance and includes a washing machine, toilet, sink, and a shower with foldable glass walls.

On the property, there is a very nice guest cottage with its own little covered veranda. Inside, there is a comfortable sofa bed and a 120 cm bed. There is also a toilet with a sink, so you don't have to go into the main house. Perfect for those who want to stay a bit secluded from the rest of the group. By the lovely pool, there are sun loungers, perfect for relaxation! Here you can alternate between sunbathing and swimming in the pool with games and other fun activities inside the pool house. There is something for everyone! Enjoy the lounge area, or why not challenge each other in a triathlon with billiards, air hockey, and darts! The billiard table is a combined billiards and air hockey table. There is also a refrigerator.

In another building reminiscent of a very charming barn, there is a long dining table for large gatherings that connects to a practical, simple kitchen with a sink and running water. Here you can grill outside and then pass the food over the counter through the hatch. So practical and so nice! A perfect alternative so you don't have to run back and forth to the kitchen in the main house.

Note – youth groups are not allowed! A travel cot is available upon request. The ceiling is slightly lower in the kitchen area. The photos show that there is a bamboo sunbed, but unfortunately, it will not be available.

Although this accommodation has everything needed for a successful vacation, there is so much to explore on Gotland. From Fårö in the north to Burgsvik in the south. The coastal stretches around the island are magical, where fishing villages, rock formations, and sandy beaches with powdery soft sand alternate. There are various shops with local crafts, cafes, and restaurants popping up here and there. There is something for every interest, but a must is a visit to Visby Inner City to wander through the rose-blooming alleys and gaze at the Visby City Wall. If you are traveling with children, you must visit Pippi Longstocking's summer and water park, Kneippbyn, which the kids will surely love.

Sweden has been admitted to UNESCO's list of world heritage for its unique coastline. Middle and north of Sweden have countless rivers, lakes and streams criss-crossing the country. Sometimes you get the feeling that the country is swimming with only forests and fields acting as links between rivers and lakes. This is particular noticeable for the middle part of Sweden where the ice age left plain tracks. Thousands of lakes fill the gorges created when the ice retracted to the North.

The Siljan lake is located in the middle part of Sweden called Dalarna. The lake and the surrounding towns are regarded as the historical centre of the country. Midsummer in Sweden

The midsummer party in Sweden is truly unique. To many it is a symbol of the lightness, the light and the life force symbolic of the Nordic summer. Midsummer in Sweden is the biggest celebration of solstice in Scandinavia.

When the most Swedish of Swedish parties approach, the whole country is exited. Midsummer is traditionally a feast celebrated with family and friends, but if you are a tourist you are welcome to join the festivities. It is celebrated all over the country - by the coast, in the skerries, by idyllic lakes, in the mountains or one of the islands. All is good, as long as there is plenty of pristine and diverse nature around.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
