Sala is a charming small town, famous for its silver mine. Go on an exciting adventure with your family down into the cave which is 155 meters below the surface of the earth with a lot of twisting tunnels.

In Fagersta you can visit the well-preserved iron works, Engelsbergsbruk, which are on Unesco’s World Heritage List.

Västmanland is situated in the central part of Sweden in the Mälaren valley. The most important city is Västerås which is situated 10 miles west of Stockholm. Västerås is one of the oldest cities in Sweden. The cathedral is a tourist magnet and is a beautiful example of the brick churches which were built in the area in the 13th century.
